Article 13

Shall the Pelham School District vote to raise and appropriate the  sum of EIGHTY THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($83,000). Said sum of money being the amount necessary for additional roof repairs at the Pelham Memorial School. (Recommended by the Pelham School Board) (Recommended by the Pelham Budget Committee)

Voter's Guide Explanation

This article represents funding necessary to complete the roof repair project at Pelham Memorial School that was started during the summer of 2005. Due to unanticipated contingencies with the project, the funding available to complete the project fell short of the actual cost. Passage of this article will allow the roofing project to be completed.

Memorial School Roof Photos illustrate deteriorating roof.  There are presently about 40 leaks in the roof so that when it rains, buckets, and trash cans are placed under the leaks to prevent further building damage.  Visible roof damage is present as well as visible ceiling damage is present.
