The Conservation meeting = was held at Pelham= Elementary School and was brought = to order by Chairman Bob Yarmo at 7:37 p.m.

HEARINGS:

Map 8, Lot 9-64: Timothy & Phyllis I= vers, Windham Road, Conceptual – Proposed 5-lot Subdivision. There is one existing home on the = parcel already.

The firm of Keach-Nordstr= om Assoc., Inc. (KNA) of Bedford<= /st1:City>, NH represents this case. David Lukedin of KNA presented the conceptual plan. He and his c= lient were questioned if there were existing trails through the proposed subdivis= ion – the answer was there were none.&nb= sp; His client was asked to maintain any stonewalls present on the prope= rty and to only cut where necessary. There will be selective cutting along Windham Road for site line safety.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> The entrance is located south of <= st1:Street w:st=3D"on">Hayden Road= .

MOTION: (Edwards/Gagnon) To preserve exist= ing stone walls on the property and to selectively cut trees for site line safe= ty along Windham Road

VOTE: 5-0 to support the Motion

Map 17, Lot 13-60: Patrick Joseph Martinage, 348 Gage Hill Road. Request for Conservation Input by = Board of Adjustment. Applicant is s= eeking variance to permit a single family dwelling on an undersized lot of record = (.7 acre)

The ZBA received signatur= es from 23 petitioners to not allow building on this under-sized lot.

There was no one at this = meeting to present, support or plead this case.

MOTION: (Gagnon/Edwards) To send ZBA lette= r of non-support for this proposal.

VOTE: 5-0 in favor of no support.

OTHER:

14/4, 137-10: Patrick O’Grady, 17 Holstein Drive, installation of a 22 x 27 ft. pool that is 10-ft into the 50’ buffer zone. (ZBA Case #2326)=

This case was not listed = on the agenda and was for discussion only. The applicant’s case is before the ZBA who has asked for Conse= rvation’s input. Yarmo and Edwards atte= nded the first site walk along with 3 members of the ZBA. Chairman Yarmo asked that the rema= ining Conservation members (Dadak, Gagnon and Wakefield) to also do a site walk and give their recommendations to the chairman by ph= one once completed. The configura= tion of this parcel of land has only one very small section of flat land that is immediately behind the house. The applicant is a pool installer and will be installing a filter system that d= oes not require backwashing – “O-Backwash”. On the initial site walk Chairman = Yarmo asked the petitioner to re-install the WCD signs on the west side of his ho= me and to install WCD signs on the north side of the property at the tree-line where there is a running stream as a no cut zone and have it documented on = his deed. Mr. O’Grady agree= d to these conditions.

LAND STEWARDSHIP REPOR= T: Deb Waters, Land Steward Chairperson,(this is a sub-committee of the Conservation Commission) report= ed to the Commission about the recently acquired properties. She reports that there are 9 people involved with the cleaning up of trash, etc. on Hinds Lane. She has received many favorable co= mments about Nature’s Way. She= asked what steps to take in reporting vandalism that occurred at the Calitri prop= erty on Poplar Hill Road and questioned whether timber revenue might be available for the purchase of gates on these properties.

Ms. Waters said she had c= onferred with Diane Gorrow, town attorney, and she offered 3 options that could be c= onsidered through a vote at town meeting for future&= nbsp; expenses/upkeep of these properties. It was agreed that Ms. Waters draw= up a warrant article to the effect, “Designate the land as Town Forest and the Conservation Commission as the managers of that forest. Chairman Yarmo commented on timber= value as being one source of revenue.
