PLANNING BOARD MEETING – WARRANT DISCUSSION

November 26, 2007 

 

 

 

Chairman Peter McNamara c= alled the meeting to order at 7:00= pm.

 

Secretary Paul Dadak call= ed the roll: 

 

PRESENT:

Peter McNamara, Paul Da= dak, Jason Croteau, Tim Doherty, Alternate Joseph Passamonte, Alternate James McManu= s, Selectmen Representative Robert Haverty, Planning Director Jeff Gowan

 

ABSENT:

 

Paddy Culbert, Roger Mo= ntbleau, Alternate Edward McGlynn

 

Also present:  Zoning Sub-Committee Members ̵= 1; Dave Hennessey, Paul Gagnon, Bob Lamoureaux and members of the public

 

DISCUSSION

 

Proposed Zoning Ordinance questions for March Annual Town Meetin= g

 

The Board began their dis= cussion by reviewing the Sign Ordinance, political sign definition section.  Mr. Gowan explained that there were federal and state guidelines that the Town should follow.  To be in compliance, he read aloud proposed change.

 

Another recommended chang= e was in regard to Minor Home Occupations – Article XII.  Mr. Gowan said there were two type= s of home occupation, Minor Home Occupation and General Home Occupation.  He said enforcing Minor Home Occup= ations was becoming difficult and therefore proposed amendments. 

 

Mr. McNamara said the fin= al thing for the Board to review was the proposed Residential Conservation Subdivision.  Mr. Gowan noted = that Carolyn Russell from the Department Of Environmental Services submitted the= ir draft recommended zoning language for review.  The proposed changes to the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision were read aloud.  

 

There was discussion rega= rding the language and a suggestion that some of the language should be more spec= ific and further amended.    

 

Mr. Gowan asked the Zoning committee to further discuss some of the sections prior to the public hearing.  He said if any Board members have further comments they should be forwarded through him for the sub-committee.  He said the pr= oposed language would also be sent out for legal review.
